How can I become a member of this site? |

I've created an account but I can't figure out how to begin adding images. Where do I start? |
| A: |
First, sign in to your account. Click the Add Images/Pages button to begin uploading images, and create a gallery page to place your images on. This takes you to the Upload Images page, which has a browse button near the top. Click this browse button and browse your computer's drives for a JPEG (.jpg) image to upload. Once you have selected your image, click the large button labeled "Click Here to Upload Your Images". Click the button only once and wait patiently, the upload process could take several minutes depending on your internet connection speed. |

I can't remember my password. Can you send it to me? |

On the sign in page you will see a link that says Forgot your Password? Have it emailed to you. Click that link and enter the same email address you used to create your account. |

You will need to contact me with a link to your gallery so I can look up your email address. |

How do I delete my account? |

Simply delete all of the pages out of your gallery and you will disappear off the site. |

I want to change my name on this site. Do I need to start a new account? |

No! You can change your Display Name on the Account Settings page. You can also change your email address and password there. |

Is there a limit to the number of photos I can post? |
| A: |
Nope, you can add as many images as you like. |

What's the maximum size/resolution image I can upload? |
| A: |
You can upload any .jpg image not larger than 1MB, however any image with a height or width greater than 1024 will be reduced such that its longest side is 1024. For this reason its very advisable for you to reduce your images to 1024 prior to uploading them as this will save you a LOT of time uploading. |

Can I upload images that are off-topic? |

Generally, images should be at least somehow related to this site. However, its totally fine to have a few here and there that are off topic... your pets, your family, things that inspire you, anything that lets a person browsing your gallery get to know you better. If your gallery has a large percentage of off-topic images and/or they seem to detract you may be asked to remove some or all of them. |

How does the Content Rating field work? What does "Family-Safe" mean? |

If you are uploading content that is otherwise relevant and allowed on this site, but is not appropriate for a family-oriented website, you must mark it as NOT Family-Safe. In particular this applies to any photo or artwork depicting nudity, including the display of female nipples. Pages marked as Not Family-Safe will still be displayed in most places on the site, however each user will have to confirm their age before viewing the page. Keep in mind that the same rules of this site still apply to Pages marked as Not Family-Safe. See the FAQ titled What types of content may not be posted on this site? for more information. |

- Content protected by copyright, which you do not have the necessary legal rights to publish on this site.
- Violent content, racial intolerance, or advocacy against any individual, group, or organization
- Pornography (Erotic Artwork is OK if marked as Not Family-Safe)
- Hacking/cracking content
- Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
- Excessive profanity
- Gambling or casino-related content
- Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking on ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites, or reading emails
- Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords
- Sales or promotion of weapons or ammunition (e.g., firearms, fighting knives, stun guns)

How do I get my gallery page featured? |

The criteria by which pages are evaluated for featuring is outlined on the Gallery Tips page. |

Who decides which pages get featured? |
| A: |
Ultimately, I do. Besides myself, some members of this site have been designated as moderators. Some of them can nominate pages to be featured, and some of them can actually feature pages. See the Site Moderators section of the FAQs for more info. |

How do I get into the Top 100 list? |
| A: |
The Top 100 list is chosen and sorted by an automated scoring algorithm. The specifics of this algorithm are kept secret, however there are lots of good hints on the Gallery Tips page that will help you improve the quality of your gallery and, in turn, your potential ranking in the top 100. |

Can gallery pages get featured after they have dropped off the front page list? |

Yes. I often feature pages which are old and no longer on the front page. |

I see a "Mod Level" number displayed next to each person's name in the profile area of their pages. What does this number mean? |
| A: |
Every user on this site has a Moderator Level number, which determines the level of administrative functions they are allowed to perform on the site. A normal user with no special permissions starts out with a Mod Level of 1. Should they be promoted to level 2 by a higher-level moderator, they will gain permissions to perform one or more basic functions on the site. |

I can't see the "Mod Level" number anywhere. |

Normal (level 1) users cannot see the mod level. If it doesn't appear next to a user's name and their Contact link, then you are most likely a level 1 user with no moderator priveleges. |

I don't have any priveliges but I'd like to become a moderator. |
| A: |
First, make sure you are doing it for the right reasons. If you want to become a mod so you can benefit yourself or your friends, don't ask. All administrative functions that you perform as a moderator will be visible in an easy to read log that I and all other admins can read. If you abuse the system you will either be demoted down to level 1 or banned from the site entirely. If you are committed to being a fair and impartial moderator, contact me with a request that includes a link to your gallery. You should have an established gallery and be an established member of the site before making this request. Not all requests will be granted, and some may be delayed so please ask only once. |

I'm a moderator and I want to move up to a higher level. What can I do? |
| A: |
Do a really, REALLY great job with the permisisons you have now. Also, be patient. Please DO NOT email me asking for promotions. If you're doing a good job it will show on your moderator file. For example, if I look through your file and I see that you've nominated or featured ONLY very high quality pages (top 5 percentile), and you have done quite a few of them over a period of time, you are likely to get promoted. If you nominate/feature some pages that aren't so great, I'll think twice about bumping you up a level. |

How many levels are there, and which priveliges are available at each level? |

The number of levels is potentially unlimited but for now there are 100 levels, with 1 being a brand new user and 100 being me. This leaves enough room for me to add dozens of new moderator abilities, and I shuffle this list around as I add new ones. |

Can I promote other moderators to a higher level? |
| A: |
You can promote other users up to one level below your own. So if you are a level 4 user, you can promote any other user to a level 3. Important: You are responsible, to a certain extent, for the actions of the users who you promote. They are your team. If you go around promoting a bunch of yayhoos who end up doing a poor job or worse yet abusing their privs, you may yourself be demoted. |

Can I demote other moderators to a lower level? |

Demoting users is a much higher-level privelige that I reserve for myself only for the time being. |

Why did my moderator level drop? |
| A: |
There are a few different reasons that a moderator might get demoted, but the most common is less than judicious use of the feature button. If I see that someone has been featuring repetitive or less than featureworthy work I will usually put them at a level 2, which still allows them to nominate pages for feature. If you find that this has happened to you, please try not to take it personally. Your help is appreciated but it can sometimes be good to cycle moderators out for a bit. I occasionally do bulk promotions to give our active newcomers a chance to participate, so you still can regain your feature ability later. The best way to earn it back is to demonstrate your discretion by nominating only the very best pages. Other reasons I might demote a moderator: If I see that someone seems to be consistently favoring one or more other users, or is in some way abusing their priveliges. |

Another user is posting harassing comments on my page. What should I do? |

Harassing, hateful, derogatory, or otherwise detractive comments are not permitted on this site. If you're posting them, you're an asshole. Quit it! If another member of this site is sending them to you, please contact me with a link to the page where they posted the comment. |

What are Mini Galleries for? |
| A: |
The original idea behind Mini Galleries was so people could show off their photos on other sites such as myspace, friendster, livejournal, etc. as well as in forums, blogs, personal websites, or pretty much ANYWHERE that you can use basic HTML codes... even ebay auctions! The Mini Gallery tool lets you easily design and create an HTML grid of clickable, thumbnailed photos which can be pasted into your webpage, profile, blog, or forum (assuming it supports HTML tags). |
